Dear all, For next week’s homework you will have to compute some partial fractions decompositions. You can either compute it “by hand” or using Sage. For partial fractions decomposition in Sage, see: https://cloud.sagemath.com/projects/a9485699-5a52-4004-bf4b-d35f796dcedf/files/Partial%20Fractions%20Decomposition.sagews (You may have to copy and paste both lines into your browser.) If you use Sage, please email your worksheets to the […]Read Post ›

Dear all, For the problems that ask for the Laplace transform, you can use Sage to check your answers. See https://cloud.sagemath.com/projects/a9485699-5a52-4004-bf4b-d35f796dcedf/files/Laplace%20Transform.sagews Using Sage does not substitute your work. You still have to compute the Laplace transform (integrating, taking limits etc.) but you can use Sage to check if your work is correct. Advertisements

Feedback for Exam 2- MTH 3720- W15 Problem 1. The equation is exact, not separable. If you try to solve as if it were separable, it does not work. Problem 4. The eigenvalues are complex numbers. If the eigenvalue is -1+2i and the eigenvector is (1,i), then the solution in e^(-1+2i)*(1,i). Advertisements
